MasterClass Prep: Getting Ready for the Natural Hair MasterClass Session
Welcome to our Natural Hair MasterClass! In this blog post, we will guide you through the essential steps to prepare for an enriching experience during our session. By focusing on the following areas, you'll ensure a seamless and enjoyable journey through the MasterClass.

Camera:
To fully engage with the session and showcase your current hair styling techniques, it's recommended to use a mobile phone stand instead of holding your phone. This will allow you to position yourself comfortably throughout the class. For your privacy and the best recording quality, find a private area where you can confidently participate without any distractions.
Lighting:
Having good lighting is crucial for us to see your hair clearly. Find a well-lit room for the session. Avoid relying solely on natural sunlight, as it can cause blurriness or make it difficult for us to observe your hair. Consider using a room with controllable lighting, such as a bathroom with the drapes closed and ample artificial light. Ensure that your face is well-lit, as many people tend to lack sufficient lighting in this area. If needed, you can easily purchase a ring light and stand from Amazon or other online retailers.
Hair, Products, and Tools
Your Hair:
To make the most of the MasterClass, we recommend starting with freshly washed and conditioned hair. Arrive with wet hair that's ready to be styled. A few hours before the session, cleanse, deep condition, and detangle your hair. Keeping it hydrated during the session can be accomplished by placing a shower cap over your hair.
Your Products:
Ensure you have your preferred Urbanbella Styling products at hand. Our styling gels are recommended for achieving the best results, especially for Wash-and-Go styles. Having your preferred products readily available will enhance your participation in the class.
Tools:
To facilitate the styling session and make the process easier, gather the following tools beforehand:
- Parting Comb: This comb will assist you in creating neat and precise hair sections.
- Curl Defining Comb: Use this comb to enhance your curl definition during styling.
- 2-3 Hair clips: These clips will allow you to section your hair into manageable parts, making the styling process more organized.
- 2-3 Towels: Hand towel size will suffice, similar to what we use in professional salons. These towels will come in handy for various purposes throughout the session.
- 1 large towel: Use this towel to drape over your shoulders, protecting your clothing during the styling process.
- 1 Bottle of Urbanbella Curl Refresher Spray or Spray Bottle with Water: This spray will help revitalize your curls during the session, ensuring they remain vibrant and hydrated.
