  1. Having a congested scalp with scaly skin buildup may even be damaging your precious hair follicles, causing hair loss and preventing your hair from growing too.
  2. Many of us have scalps that are clogged with oil, dirt and product build-up. Even after washing with regular shampoo, we may think our scalps are clean from giving them a good scrub, however without getting a proper exfoliating agent in there to work on a cellular level, we’re unknowingly leaving a lot of problem skin behind that’s wreaking havoc on our hair follicles.
  3. Dandruff is caused by the scalp producing too many skin cells, which then die rapidly on top of one another. When these skin cells are produced too quickly for your scalp’s normal removal processes to shed them off, your scalp becomes flaky and dry.
  4. To help boost the skin cell turnover process, exfoliate your scalp on a regular basis. If you suffer from dry skin or psoriasis, you may need to exfoliate two or three times per week; otherwise, exfoliating once weekly is generally adequate to remove dead skin cells from the surface of your scalp. A small number of exfoliating shampoos that contain ingredients like white willow extract and salicylic acid are available on the market. You can also purchase a gentle facial scrub with apricot or walnut kernels or oil beads that promote mechanical exfoliation and use it as a pre-treatment before you shampoo.

Piperita came as a free sample with an order I placed. Over the last year, almost 2 years my daughter has had dandruff and dry, itchy scalp. I have remedied the dandruff and got the dry scalp under slight control, but the itchiness of her scalp remained. I applied the piperita on her scalp and immediately it soothes and gives relief.
